Dear Alba, First, my condolences on the loss of your husband Al DeMayo who I remember fondly from my brief time with Peter Frasse on Wissahickon Avenue in Philadelphia. You may remember me – I was the “Office Boy” in 1950 until I enlisted in the Air Force in February 1951, and later in 1955 as a “Deskman” in the stainless steel department under Jack Irwin when I returned. I left Frasse in November that year for employment with the telephone company, a move Al agreed with and encouraged. I do remember you Alba and I have many happy memories of my time with Frasse – they just could not meet my financial needs to support my planned marriage in 1956 to my late wife, Mary Costa. I was also better suited for the technical challenges in the communications industry. However, if I were to aspire to a sales position in Frasse, I would have tried my best to be a salesman like Al. I am sorry I can not attend the funeral service on Thursday, but please know you and your family are in my prayers. Best regards, Louis Arata
