JOYCE, Walter J. , age 79 of Abington passed away May 11, 2013. Walter is the proud graduate of St. Joseph’s Prep and St. Joseph’s University. He was a 2nd lieutenant in the U.S. Air force prior to a long and distinguished career with IBM. Walt founded and was the president of The St. Vincent DePaul Society at Our Lady Help of Christians where he was also a member of the Holy Name Society. He is the beloved husband of Olympia “Lynn” (nee Bucciarelli) Joyce. Loving father of Joseph W. (Donna), Michael G. (Diane) and Karen McCormick (Ed). Pop Pop of Michael, Lindsay, Franky, Bridget, Jack, Brady, Kasey, Jake and Kiki. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Wed. Eve. 7 to 9 pm at FitzPatrick Funeral Home, 1500 Old York Rd. Abington and Thursday 9 t0 9:45 am at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 1500 Marian Rd. Abington where a Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am. Int. Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory to the Comprehensive Learning Center, AJ Foundation, P.O. Box 234, Wycombe, PA 18980 or to the O.L.H.C. St. Vincent DePaul Socitety, 1500 Marian Rd.
